How Vicasa Guides Makes Money
Vicasa Guides is a participant in the Booking.com Affiliate Partner Programme and the Expedia Group Affiliate Program (which includes VRBO). When you click a booking link on this site — such as “Check Availability,” “Book on Booking.com,” or “Book on VRBO” — and complete a reservation on those platforms, we may earn a commission from the platform.
This is how we keep the site free, independent, and ad-free. It is our primary source of revenue.
What It Costs You: Nothing
The price you pay when booking through our links is exactly the same as if you had gone to Booking.com or VRBO directly. The commission comes out of the platform’s fee — never added to your bill. There are no markups, hidden fees, or member pricing games.
What This Does — and Doesn’t — Influence
We only feature properties we would recommend to our own friends and family. Specifically:
- Properties never pay to be featured. There are no sponsored placements or pay-to-play rankings anywhere on this site.
- Commission rates don’t decide our picks. We feature homes based on group livability, quality, host responsiveness, and guest experience — whether or not a booking earns us anything.

Who Handles Your Booking
All reservations, payments, cancellations, refunds, and guest support are handled entirely by Booking.com or VRBO under their terms and policies. Vicasa Guides never processes payments and has no access to your reservation details. For any issue with a booking, please contact the platform you booked through.
Prices and Availability
Any prices shown on this site are indicative “from” rates and can change at any time. The live price, availability, and final terms are always the ones displayed on Booking.com or VRBO at the time of booking. When we highlight a deal, it reflects a real offer on the platform at the time of writing — we never invent discounts.
