They’re written to be read, not skimmed past — and the short version is simple: we’re a travel guide, your bookings happen on Booking.com or VRBO under their terms, use our content fairly, and travel smart.
1. Who We Are — and What This Site Is
Vicasa Guides is an independent editorial guide to luxury group vacation rentals in Southern California. We research, curate, and recommend properties and destinations. We are not a booking platform, travel agency, property manager of the listings shown, or party to any reservation you make. When you click a booking link, you leave our site and transact directly with Booking.com or VRBO under their own terms and conditions.
2. No Booking Relationship
All reservations, payments, cancellations, refunds, damage deposits, house rules, and guest support are handled exclusively by the booking platform and the property’s host. Vicasa Guides has no access to your reservation and no authority over it. Any dispute regarding a stay is between you, the platform, and the host. We encourage you to read the platform’s terms before booking:

4. Content Is Informational, Not Advice
Our guides, property descriptions, pricing indications, seasonal tips, and recommendations are provided for general information. We work hard to keep them accurate, but travel details change constantly: prices, availability, amenities, house rules, local regulations, and property ownership can all change without notice. The authoritative information is always what appears on the booking platform at the time of booking. Any “from” price on this site is indicative only. We make no guarantee that any property will meet your expectations, and nothing on this site constitutes professional, legal, or financial advice.
5. Your Responsibilities as a Traveler
You are responsible for your own travel decisions, including verifying property details before booking, complying with house rules and occupancy limits, respecting local laws and noise ordinances, and arranging appropriate travel insurance. If you travel internationally to reach Southern California, you are responsible for your own visa, entry, and health requirements.
6. Intellectual Property
The Vicasa Guides name, logo, site design, and our original editorial content (guides, descriptions, curation, and photography we own) are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share links to our content freely and quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions of our content, scrape the site for commercial use, or use our brand in a way that suggests endorsement, without our written permission. Property photographs displayed via booking platforms remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse this site — including attempting to breach its security, injecting malicious code, submitting spam or fraudulent inquiries through our contact form, or using automated tools to harvest content or data. We may restrict access to anyone who abuses the site.

Our content links to third-party websites — booking platforms, restaurants, attractions, event pages, and other resources. These are provided for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices. Visiting them is at your own discretion and subject to their terms.

This site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. 10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vicasa Guides and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including losses arising from your use of this site, reliance on its content, or any stay, booking, or transaction made through third-party platforms. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence grants you mandatory consumer protections and venue rights, which remain unaffected.

This site is operated from the United States and showcases properties located in California. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. 13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vicasa Guides and its owners from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the site. This does not apply to the extent prohibited by the consumer laws of your jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the site evolves. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the effective date updated above. Meaningful changes will be flagged clearly. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
15. Severability and Entire Agreement
